PHELAN, Calif. (Aug 31, 2016) – On August 16, 2016, a fire started on the Blue Cut hiking trail in San Bernardino County destroying over 37,020 acres before being fully contained by more than 2,864 Fire Officials on August 23, 2016. This wildfire, which has been declared the 20th most destructive in state history, forced over 82,000 residents of communities such as Lone Pine Canyon, Oak Hills, and Phelan to evacuate their homes. An estimated 105 homes were destroyed by the fire.

Storage Direct extends sympathies to everyone affected, and would like to help by opening our Phelan, California facility to those evacuated by this devastating wildfire while there is availability.
