Building a Better Storage Experience in Hercules

Since opening our doors in April 2022, Storelocal Hercules has been committed to providing the Hercules community with a top-notch storage experience.

A major priority in the construction of the Storelocal Hercules facility was security. In order to do this, Janus International's cutting-edge Noke – Smart Entry security system was used to provide access to every unit at Storelocal Hercules. With a simple tap of their smartphone, users of Noke, a cloud-based digital access control system, may enter the building and unlock their individual apartments.

According to Bethany Salmon, marketing content manager at Janus International, "Storelocal Hercules takes security to new heights with the implementation of Noke – Smart Entry." "Storelocal Hercules is able to benefit from operational advantages like thermal motion mapping, activity mapping, overlocking and releasing, automatic lock checks, and much more because of the comprehensive use of technology."

When paired with Hummingbird software, Noke enables accurate "touchless rentals," allowing clients to complete the move-in process without ever setting foot in a rental agency. Both the client and management benefit from the increased efficiency and flexibility that this offers. The company's Western regional sales manager, John Bilton, states, "The site's location and design were a great fit for both Janus International and Noke – Smart Entry's suite of products." "We're happy to be a part of Storelocal Hercules, an amazing storage solution run by professionals that leads the industry. Our tech is great, but if you want a more personable experience, we're here for you in that capacity too. We give in-person tours and one-on-one assistance as needed since we recognize how important it is to interact with our consumers. We provide technology with a customized flair.

• Storelocal Hercules has also put up amusing signs across the complex to help visitors find their destination in an effort to personalize the experience. "In our interior hallways, we have implemented the use of street names and street signs," explains Lorenzini. "Warrior's Way and Pier 39 are examples of local landmarks, teams, and other entities that are reflected in the street names, given our location. Small touches like this assist patrons in navigating the space and maintaining their interest.
• Convenience at your fingertips: Our user-friendly technology allows you to manage your rental online or through your smartphone. You can even rent a unit and move in completely contactless!
• Exceptional & Committed customer service: Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is here to help you every step of the way. We offer a variety of amenities, including moving supplies and complimentary refreshments, to make your storage experience as smooth as possible.

Storelocal Hercules was dedicated from the start to putting fresh and creative ideas into practice in order to increase customer happiness. Among the initiatives made by the facility were:

• Providing easy-to-use procedures; clients may use their smartphones to check all available apartments, prices, sign a lease, confirm their identification, and pay bills at any time or place.

• Offering a "one-stop-shop" experience by selling supplementary retail goods like locks, boxes, packing and moving equipment, and other things.

• Stocking the leasing office with complimentary water, coffee, and snacks.

More Than Just Storage

Storelocal Hercules is proud to be a part of the Hercules community.  We're committed to giving back and have partnered with local organizations like the Hercules Education Foundation.  We've also made a real effort to be environmentally conscious throughout the construction process.

In an attempt to establish enduring connections, Storelocal Hercules sought for further community assistance. The leadership of the facility reached out to Hercules Mayor Dion Bailey in addition to establishing connections with the chamber of commerce, the Hercules Historical Society, nearby companies, potential tenants, and other organisations.

Allyse Daniels was recruited on board with the goal of building strong relationships and raising brand knowledge in the neighborhood six months before the facility opened. Daniels remembers, "We visited the neighbourhood farmers market, adjacent apartment buildings, new home developments and local businesses." We distributed'swag bags,' containing tote bags, mugs, pencils, flyers, and coupons bearing the Storelocal logo. The reaction to our community-focused marketing was so great that we were able to compile an interest list of more than 100 possible clients.

Furthermore, the Hercules Education Foundation received a $1,000 grant from Storelocal Hercules. The goal of this nonprofit organisation is to support and improve the educational possibilities available to kids in the public schools in Hercules. One of the facility's administrators, Mary Beth Lorenzini, continues, "Building rapport with locals is a great way to engage with the community and give back."
